So I was facing the same internal rage over the horrible cover of The Spectacular Now, and finally one day in a fit of sass stuck a post-it to the cover declaiming the awfulness of the cover but stating that I had read the story inside and it was great, so take this book out please. Wouldn't you know it, within a day one of my regulars had picked it up and was taking it out. Also, the patron in question hopes to be a graphic designer someday and is super-artistic, so after she has read it I am going to hit her up to collage or design a new cover and see if the Powers That Be will allow us to put it in a slipcover over the awful one.
